Tim has been a technology lawyer since 2001. He specialises in complex and high value technology transactions and disputes. He has considerable expertise in preparing standard contracts for technology businesses as well as transaction support (whether for suppliers or buyers of major technology projects).
He became a partner of the international law firm, DAC Beachcroft LLP in 2009. He headed the national Commercial Department from 2011 – 2017, and was the international Technology Sector Head for the same period. He was elected onto the Management Board in 2015. Tim joined Memery Crystal in 2017.
Tim has also spent over seven years as the Chief Executive Officer of a Health-Tech business. As a result, Tim has a deep understanding of commercial matters, including pricing, finance (including revenue recognition), sales, and general management.
In 2013 Tim co-founded Cerno (www.cerno-ps.com), a technology disputes consultancy.
Tim speaks regularly on commercial and intellectual property law and has run training programmes for commercial lawyers covering a wide range of topics.
