Memery Crystal advises MedaPhor on strategic acquisition and placing

Memery Crystal has advised AIM-listed client MedaPhor Group plc (MedaPhor) on a placing and the purchase of the entire issued share capital of Intelligent Ultrasound Limited (IUL).

MedaPhor is a global provider of advanced ultrasound skills training simulators for medical professionals and the acquisition marks a strategic move which will allow the company to expand into the larger ultrasound related software market.

Simultaneously to the acquisition, MedaPhor raised £5.5m before costs to finance the enlarged group’s new product development plans and working capital requirements.

Lesley Gregory commented: “MedaPhor is a long-standing client, having helped list the company in 2014, as such we were delighted to advise them on this strategic acquisition and placing. We look forward to continuing our relationship with MedaPhor at this exciting stage of the company’s progression.”

  • IUL, a University of Oxford spin-out company develops image analysis software for ultrasound. The company develops and markets sophisticated algorithms that improve the capabilities of current ultrasounds scanner hardware.
