Memery Crystal advises MedaPhor on strategic acquisition and placing

Memery Crystal has advised AIM-listed client MedaPhor Group plc (MedaPhor) on a placing and the purchase of the entire issued share capital of Intelligent Ultrasound Limited (IUL).
MedaPhor is a global provider of advanced ultrasound skills training simulators for medical professionals and the acquisition marks a strategic move which will allow the company to expand into the larger ultrasound related software market.
Simultaneously to the acquisition, MedaPhor raised £5.5m before costs to finance the enlarged group’s new product development plans and working capital requirements.
Lesley Gregory commented: “MedaPhor is a long-standing client, having helped list the company in 2014, as such we were delighted to advise them on this strategic acquisition and placing. - IUL, a University of Oxford spin-out company develops image analysis software for ultrasound. The company develops and markets sophisticated algorithms that improve the capabilities of current ultrasounds scanner hardware.
