Structure and Experience

During your training you will have a balance of formal and practical training. Your development will be closely monitored with appraisals carried out every 3 months. You will sit either with a partner, associate or senior assistant who will monitor your progress on a regular basis. During the course of your training contract, there will be a regular rotation of seats within the firm.

Practical training
During each seat you will form an integral part of the particular team from day one. You will be encouraged to use your initiative and to contribute your ideas and insights. We strongly favour the ‘hands on’ approach; our trainees do not spend their time photocopying or making tea!

Formal Training
This includes in-house seminars, courses and regular formal and informal reviews.

Support
We are here to provide the support required to enable you to gain experience and develop the skills you will need as a qualified solicitor.

Supervisor
During each seat, you will work closely with a partner, associate or senior assistant who will also be your mentor and will help you to set and achieve your goals and give you prompt feedback.
