Mark specialises in non-contentious commercial property matters, including high-value individual transactions and portfolio work. Mark has particular experience in the retail sector, acting for landlords, tenants and developers. He advises a range of tenants taking leases of high street, shopping centre and retail park units. He has also assisted on both the acquisition and disposal of a retail park and on various development projects on behalf of a large retail client.

Mark has also acted for a number of educational institutions, dealing with the property aspects of school establishment and development. He has assisted in the title and due diligence areas of establishing at least five City Academies. He has also acted for a specialist school in re-configuring its site, which involved drafting and settling the various legal documents, conducting negotiations with the local authority and another educational institution, and advising on specific legal issues relating to charities.
