John Hull Joins Memery Crystal as Head of IP

Memery Crystal LLP is pleased to announce that John Hull has joined the firm as Head of Intellectual Property, effective 1 June 2010.

John is joining from Eversheds, where he was head of London Intellectual Property and also a member of the firm's National Education Group.  He has experience in a range of IP litigation, including patent, confidential information and trademark disputes.  He is also experienced in non-contentious intellectual property, IT and related corporate support, including all forms of IP and IT licensing, technology transfer, character merchandising, securitisation using intellectual property, brand strategy and the registration and maintenance of trademark portfolios.

John is also a highly regarded specialist in public law and judicial review relating particularly to universities and higher education research organisations. He has acted in over 20 judicial reviews, some of which have become leading cases, covering issues such as plagiarism, fitness to practice, student admissions and expulsions.

For a number of years, John has been ranked as a leading individual by Chambers UK for both Intellectual Property and Education: Institutions (Higher & Further Education).

John is Visiting Professorial Fellow in Intellectual Property at Queen Mary, University of London IP Research Institute and also teaches IP at University College London's Institute of Brand and Innovation Law.
