Application Process

We are currently recruiting trainees to start in September 2012.

Candidates can apply for an assessment centre which will take place in August 2010.  The application forms go live on 1 December 2009 and the deadline is 31 July 2010.

Minimum Criteria
Memery Crystal LLP are looking to recruit high calibre candidates. We have set minimum criteria for potential applicants based on academic achievements: you should have gained good results at GCSE or its equivalent, have no less than 320 UCAS points (or their equivalent) at one sitting and a 2:1 degree at university (or be on course for a 2:1 degree). If you do not fulfil these criteria you should only apply if you have other strong qualities.

Once you have completed this, you will hear from us shortly after the closing date as to whether you have been selected for a first interview.

First Interview
The first interview will be held with an associate or senior assistant and a member of the human resources team at our office in London.

Second Interview Process
Once you have completed the first stage successfully, you will be invited back to attend the second stage of the interview process. The second interview process is carried out over a number of days during which you will join the team and shadow one of our existing trainees, to gain an insight into the work of the firm. You will be given a topic and asked to give a presentation to a small panel on your last day. You will also take part in team activities and attend social events in the evening with the partners and fee earners of the firm, giving us the opportunity to get to know you better and vice versa. You will be paid to cover your expenses.

Offer
If we make an offer, you will normally receive this two weeks after the second interview process. Once you have accepted we will keep in contact with you. You will be invited to our Christmas party the year before you join, giving you the opportunity to meet more of us before you become one of the team.
